Nwando Okaro DNP, ARNP
Nwando's Bio

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 2015 and graduated with my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Florida State University in 2020.

As a nursing student, the cardiovascular system was one of my favorite body systems. I always thought of the heart as an ever-unfolding wonder. I enjoyed learning about the heart, and I was continuously curious about it. This fascination and interest with the heart was a deciding factor in my first job as a nurse. I began my nursing career at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in 2015 as a Cardiac nurse, where I worked until 2020, when I got my Nurse practitioner certifications. I am certified as a family nurse practitioner by both ANCC and AANP.

My goal is to provide the most compassionate care to my patients and help them to take control of their health.
