Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)

Procedures to remove plaque from arteries in order to restore blood flow; interventions include atherectomy, thrombectomy, angioplasty, and stenting
A procedure in which a wire mesh tube is expanded (using a balloon) and implanted in an artery to remove a blockage and increase blood flow
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
An open heart surgery procedure (usually) to replace a damaged aortic valve with a new one; the old valve remains in place, but the new valve takes over the job of the old one
A procedure that uses a balloon catheter to open a narrowed/blocked aortic heart valve
